Mexican Customs & Immigration Information

PASSPORT INFORMATION

Everyone entering Mexico from another country, including the United States, must have a passport.

If you are a foreign national living in the United States or any other county, please confirm any applicable visa requirements for entering Mexico.

Beginning January 23, 2007, the United States government will require all travelers (including US Citizens) to and from Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Canada, and Bermuda to have a valid passport to enter or re-enter the United States. This means that travelers will no longer be allowed to use birth certificates or other IDs for this purpose.

For more information regarding these requirements or to obtain, replace or change a US passport, please visit the US State Department website at http://travel.state.gov/
